ARTURIA BEATSTEP PORTABLE PAD CONTROLLER AND SEQUENCER

The Arturia BeatStep is a portable pad controller and step sequencer for the studio and live use.

It controls your DAW, DJ software and iPad apps, and with MIDI, USB and CV/Gate connections it also sequences analogue synths and MIDI hardware.

Step sequencer

The 16 encoders set the pitch of each step. 16 memories recall your favourite patterns instantly, while pad scale modes, sequence playback modes and time division let you change the performance in real time. MIDI, USB and CV/Gate connections let the sequencer work with analogue synths, software instruments and MIDI hardware.

Pads for drums

With 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads, BeatStep is a compact percussion instrument for dynamic playing. Assign the 16 encoders to different parameters for more real-time control over your drum sounds.

Control for studio and stage

The pads can send MIDI note on/off messages, MMC commands, program and bank changes, or act as MIDI CC buttons. Trigger clips in Ableton Live, adjust effects in your DJ app, or use the transport buttons to start and stop your DAW via MMC or MIDI CC. With an iPad and a camera connection kit, BeatStep also controls iPad apps.
