Ibanez P20-U bass amplifier (mandatory recall)
Product: Ibanez P20-U (Promethean) bass amplifier, EAN 4515276764533, made from November 2025 to May 2026. The recall covers serial numbers:
- B501E2511xxxx to B501E2605xxxx
- B501N2511xxxx to B501N2605xxxx
- B501Q2511xxxx to B501Q2605xxxx
- B501U2511xxxx to B501U2605xxxx
- B501S2511xxxx to B501S2605xxxx
The serial number is on the label on the back of the amplifier; compare the first 9 characters.
Why it is dangerous: faulty 4700 µF/25 V capacitors can cause smoke and overheating right after switching on, and in some cases sparks. There is a risk of fire and burns. Amplifiers made before November 2025 or from June 2026 use capacitors from another maker and are safe.
What to do: if your serial number matches, stop using the amplifier at once and return it to where you bought it. We withdrew the affected units from sale in time.

Yamaha PA-300C power adaptor (voluntary recall)
Product: Yamaha PA-300C AC power adaptor made from July 2010 to May 2012, marked "EFFICIENCY LEVEL 'V'" on the label, with an 11-digit serial number of the form XXXX0XXXXXX, XXXX1XXXXXX, XXXX21XXXXX, XXXX22XXXXX or XXXX23XXXXX. Adaptors with a 12-digit serial number are not affected. We sold it in BAM Guitar Center stores and on bam-music.com from 1 June 2011 to 31 December 2013.
Why it is dangerous: in some adaptors air bubbles formed in the resin inside the DC plug. If moisture gets in, it can cause a short circuit, overheating and melting of the plug, and in rare cases a fire.
What to do: if you have such an adaptor, stop using it at once and request a free replacement on the Yamaha Europe page.
